Born on Feb. 29, 1976 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of Jeffery L. Vele, Sr. and Carol A. Davids. Erica was proud to be an enrolled member of the Stockbridge-Munsee band of the Mohican Tribe. Erica is survived by her husband of 12 years, James Isaac; her cat, Junior who was affectionately referred to as "their son"; her mother, Carol Ann (Rick Rottinghaus) Davids; her father, Jeffery Lee (Marla) Vele, Sr.; her other parents, Henry and Shelly Neale; siblings, Scott "Jesse" Davids, James Neale, Nicole Neale, Jeffery Vele, Jr., Curtis Vele, Kanum Vele, Wuskapuw Vele; niece, Skye Davids; maternal grandmother, Jermain Davids who turned "8" the day Erica was born; paternal grandmother, Elda Vele; special auntie, Jeano; and many aunts; uncles; and cousins. Erica was preceded in death by her sister, A.J.; maternal grandparents, Roland "Buddy" Davids and Joanne Meier; and paternal grandfather, Adrian "Kanum" Vele. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
