"Rollie" Lecker Roland C. "Rollie" Lecker, 65, Cecil, passed away Wednesday Sept. 16, 2009, with his family by his side, after a short, courageous battle of cancer. Rollie was born Aug. 23, 1944 to the late Fred and Rose (Spietz) Lecker. Rollie graduated from Appleton High School in 1962. In 1965, he was introduced to his soul mate, Bonnie Mueller. After 4 months of courtship, they married on Dec. 11, 1965. Together they raised four wonderful children, Tammie, Tom, Kelly and Carrie. He dearly loved his family and was very proud of his four children and his grandchildren. Roland and Bonnie were members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, White Clay Lake in Cecil. He worked for American Breeders Service as a technician from 1970 to 1978 in Hartford, Wis. Roland bought a farm and moved his family to Cecil in 1978. He milked cows and ran a 180-acre farm. In 2005, he sold his milking cows and worked alongside his son and daughter-in-law with their remodeling business until 2008. He continued to raise beef steers and heifers. Roland truly enjoyed farming, spending time with his family, fishing, hunting with his son, going on the four-wheeler with his grandkids, and playing family games, especially Texas Hold 'Em. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and local casinos and watching all sports especially the Packers and the Brewers. There wasn't a family gathering or a day that there wasn't laughter in the Lecker household when Rollie was around. Rollie will be sorely missed by: his loving wife of 43 years, Bonnie; his children, Tammie (Bion "Joe"), Black Creek, Tom "TJ" (Paula), Green Bay, Kelly, Columbus, Ohio, Carrie (Dave) Bonduel; his grandchildren, Alison and Bion, Lily and Hailey, Ashley and Tia; and his faithful farm dog, Willie. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Verna Forslund, Green Bay, Roy (Karen) Lecker, Shawano, Elaine Moeller, Seymour, Richard (Ginny) Lecker Appleton; his sister-in-law, Joyce Lecker, Appleton; Bonnie's family, Allan "Butch" (Marlene) Mueller, Black Creek, Jerry (Kathy) Mueller, Mountain, Danny Mueller, Seymour, Jay Mueller, Seymour; and many wonderful nieces; nephews; other family members and friends. Roland was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Fred, Earl and Don; his mother and father-in-law; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Mueller, Orlo Moeller. Funeral services will held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at White Clay Lake in Cecil with the Pastor John Laatsch officiating. Family and friends may call at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The family extents a special thanks to thank the ICU department of Appleton Medical Center, Theda Care At Home Hospice, especially Kathy Micoley and Dr. Kevin Mortara for their kind help and support through this short but difficult time. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
