Geiger 816 Harvey Avenue, Watertown Age 93, died Tuesday morning, August 31, 1999, at Beverly Terrace Health and Rehab Center where he had been a resident these past two months. He was born April 25, 1906, in Milwaukee, the son of Dietrich and Selma (Heidemann) Geiger. On May 3, 1941, he was united in marriage to Marie Gieschen in Milwaukee. Walter was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Watertown, the School Board, served in the Church Council as treasurer, and on other church committees and boards. He was active in the founding of Lakeside Lutheran High School, and served on the Jefferson County Board as supervisor from 1968 to 1982. In 1952 he moved to Watertown and had been employed at the Kusel Hardware Store until his retirement in 1974. Survivors include his wife, his daughter, Ellen, at home his son, the Rev. Philip (Jeanne), Bonduel, Wisconsin two grandchildren, Rachael (Paul) Wunderlich, Menasha, and Paul (Alisha) Geiger, Neenah a great-granddaughter, Claudia Wunder! lich, Menasha nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Mildred Bosdeck, Marie Toppe and Dorothy Hering. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 3, 1999, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Michael Jensen officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday at HAFEMEISTER FUNERAL HOME from 4 to 7 p.m., and on Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery, Watertown.
