He was 91. Church was born March 22, 1914, in Gresham, Wis., to George and Bessie Coyhis Church. He married Alvina Moritz on July 20, 1940, in Rhinelander, Wis. He moved to Oregon in 1953. He worked for Hines Lumber for five years and for Kimball Lumber Co. for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing the guitar. His family said he loved babies and making people laugh. He belonged to Pleasant Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael of Lowell, Monte of Boring, Patrick of Pleasant Hill and Curtis of Mountain View, Calif.; three daughters, Anita Hayes of Springfield, Eileen Steiner of Lowell and Jeaneen Brown of Vancouver, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Sunday's service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will be in Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene. Rest-Haven Memorial Park & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency Orphanage.
