(Pintsch) Ruth J. (Pintsch) Dusing, 73, Townsend, Wis., was called home on Aug. 24, 1999, from the Evergreen Terrace Healthcare Center, Antigo, Wis. Ruth was born in Wabeno, Wis., on Dec. 12, 1925, the daughter of Herman and Maria (Ashbeck) Niermann. After high school Ruth attended St. Mary's School of Nursing, Green Bay and was a member of the graduating Class of 1947. She began her nursing career as a registered nurse at the Ovitz Hospital in Laona, Wis. On Sept. 24, 1949, she married Herbert R. Pintsch and together they operated "Pintsch's Store" in Townsend. Herbert preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1974, and their son, Richard and his family continued with the family business. Ruth married Clyde Dusing on June 21, 1978. Ruth was a faithful and active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Townsend, where she belonged to the Ladies Aid and Choir. She was an avid golfer and also enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her friends. She is survived by her husband, Clyde; daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Pintsch and Susan (Jeff) Koonce, both of Anchorage, Alaska; son, Richard (Vicki) Pintsch, Townsend; sisters, Margaret Dietrich, Antigo; Doris (Gene) Bown, Aniwa; Ann (Leonard) Slowey, Pt. Angeles, Wash.; sisters-in-law, Ruby (Cal) Kroner, Pulcifer; Delores Niermann, Green Bay; grandchildren, Jennifer, Katrina and Herbert Pintsch, William Pintsch and Rebecca and Evan Koonce. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Herbert; and a brother, H. Michael Niermann. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Townsend. Funeral Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the church with Pastor Gerald Behling officiating. Final resting place at Forest Home Cemetery, Townsend.
