He was born on December 31, 1900, in Wittenberg, WI son of the late Frederick and Bertha (Korth) Kriegel. Arnold grew up in Wittenberg and helped his father in blacksmithing, wagon making, lumbering and farming. He later took dairy farming courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then moved to New York to work on a dairy farm. Arnold came back to Wisconsin to help his father farm in several areas and finally started a dairy farm outside of Appleton. He sold the farm at the beginning of WWII and worked many years at Neenah Foundry before his retirement. In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing with friends, his sister and nephews he took care of his mother, was a great cook and baked delicious cakes for family and friends. Arnold was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah. He is survived by his niece, Correne (Kraemer) Davidsmeyer and her husband, J. William his cousin, Denver Behm his great-nieces and nephews, Diann, Richard and John P. Davidsmeyer and Darcy (Ray) Morin and by his close friend, Carita Williams. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothea, a brother, Ervin and a sister, Mabel Kraemer. Funeral services for Arnold will take place on Friday, August 25, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah, with the Rev. Greg Otterstatter officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established to benefit Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah. WESTGOR FUNERAL HOME 205 W.
