Born on July 16, 1912 in Outagamie County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Esther (Mory) Witthuhn. Arlene grew up in the Black Creek area. On June 23, 1934 she was united in marriage to Wallace Seering in Black Creek. After marriage the couple farmed and raised their family in the Town of Hartland. During that time, Arlene was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel where she was a member of the UWM, a choir member, former Loyal Worker and was a Sunday school teacher. A few years after Wally's death in 1973, Arlene and her son, Edward moved to sunny Tucson, AZ. While there, Arlene became a member of the 1st Church of God where she was a member of the Women of the Church of God and a member of the Keen Agers Group. After Ed's death in 2003, Arlene made a final move to California in 2007 to be closer to her daughter, Joy and her grandchildren. Arlene was a m! ember of Gideon's International and a member of the Christian Women. She enjoyed traveling and loved flowers and gardening. Arlene is survived by her daughter, Joy (Doug) Werner of Valencia, CA; three grandchildren, Kristian (Gol) Werner of Los Angeles, Katheryn (Charlie) Werner-Frank, Ericka (Morgan) Walker; seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Neva Corl of Lebanon, OH. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; her son, Edward; her parents and three sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 1100 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Charles Wendt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday after 1000 a.m. until the time of the service.
