Rydell Edwin A. Rydell, 86, of C11014 Trails End Road, Manitowish Waters, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. He was born Aug. 30, 1919, to Carl and Hilma (Larsen) Rydell. Edwin married Evelyn Erickson in June 1940 in Pine City, Minn. She preceded him in death in 1995. He was self-employed as a general contractor. Edwin was a member of the Lions Club in Winchester, Wis. He liked reading historical fiction and hunting. Edwin enjoyed his cabin on Papoose Lake in northern Wisconsin. Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Engel of Ventura, Calif.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, John Rydell of Wausau; and two sisters, Donna Kramer of Wausau and Hilder Horn of Mishawaka, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; and son, Jack. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Tabitha Gallatin will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, Aniwa. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
