The Rev. Lawrence Wick will officiate. Born Feb. 16, 1939, in Shawano, Wis., the son of Henry G. and Hilda F. Runge, he passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at home. Interment will be private. Mr. Dirks was a retired construction manager. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (nee Busch) of Crystal Lake, whom he married on Sept. 6, 1959, in Bonduel, Wis.; children, Scott (Kristina Shepard) Dirks of Stoughton, Wis., Kent (Laure) Dirks of Plymouth, Minn. and Margo (Jeffrey) Peterson of lake in the Hills; grandchildren, Peter and Sam Dirks, Tyler and Kelsey Dirks, and Jesse, Matthew and Aaron Peterson; and brothers, Dale (Debbie) Dirks, Glenn (Pat) Dirks and Neil (Linda) Dirks. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Save The Children, Lutheran International Immigration Services or Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, would be appreciated.
