Bergsbaken Scott E. Bergsbaken, 47, 4212 County Trunk Highway B, Manitowoc, Wis. died Wednesday evening, Mar. 31, 1999, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 13, 1952 in Bonduel, Wis., to Leon and Immogene Soufal Bergsbaken. Scott graduated from Bonduel High School in 1970 and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He was resided in Manitowoc for the past 20 years. Scott was employed as a compliance specialist with Wi Ag Ventures. He had served as chairman for the last number of years. On July 25, 1998, he married Kristine A. Bauer in Manitowoc, Wis. Scott was an avid sportsman and excelled in many of his activities. He was a hunter, fisherman, golfer and bowler. He especially enjoyed being at his cabin up north with his family and cabin crew of Si, Mike, Jim, Andy, Steve and his special dog Lizzy. Survivors include his wife, Kristine; parents, Leon and Immogene Bergsbaken, Bonduel, Wis.; two stepdaughters, Melissa and her husband, Neil; Samantha and her husband, Curt; one brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Sandy Bergsbaken, Shawano; one precious niece, Abby Bergsbaken; mother-in-law, Mildred Kowalski, Manitowoc, Wis.; brother-in-law, Michael Kowalski, Denver, Colo; aunts, uncles, along with other relatives and friends. Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Porath officiating. Cremation will have taken place. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.
