He was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Bonduel, son of the late Edward C. and Irene M. (Knope) Krueger. Delmer was a graduate of Shawano High School. He served in the European Theatre as a combat medic. On April 23, 1949, he married the former Elmira E. Timm in Shawano. She preceded him in death Aug. 3, 1995. Delmer retired from the Motor Vehicle Department, State of Wisconsin, after 21 years. He was a member of First Reformed Church and the Manitowoc Eagles Aerie 706. Survivors include a daughter: Barbara J. Krueger; a son: Jeffrey L. Krueger, both of Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Chad and Lisa; and two brothers: Delore Krueger, Appleton and Myron Krueger, Little Chute. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, where an Eagles Service will conclude the visitation at 7 p.m. Friends may also call Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard Runge with burial to follow at Lake Drive Cemetery, Shawano.
