Clarence E. Hartwig, 90, Green Bay, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001. He was born Oct. 30, 1910 in Bonduel, Wis. to the late Charles and Mary (Thiede) Hartwig. On Sept. 8, 1940, Clarence married Marcella Zastrow in Bonduel. Clarence was a dairy farmer in Bonduel for many years. He was later employed at Larsen Canning Co. for 25 years until retiring in 1975 as a foreman. Clarence was a charter member of Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Marcella four children and their spouses, Elisabeth Laspe, St. Louis, Mo. Charles and Barbara Hartwig, Green Bay Eugene and Joan Hartwig, Maribel Diane and Fredrick Meinel, Green Bay 11 grandchildren four great-grandchildren one sister, Loretta Hoefs, Shawano many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and seven brothers. Friends may call at Christ The King Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1700 Cardinal Ln., Village of Howard, from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday (today). The Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday (today) at the church with the Rev. Leonard P. Buelow officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
