Mary J. Van Grinsven, Moshawquit Lake, Keshena, formerly of Appleton, 67, died on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000. She was born in the Town of Osman to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Hartlaub) Gosz Jr. On Nov. 13, 1954, she married Edward Van Grinsven. Mary was currently a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena and formerly a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for over 30 years. She worked at Pacon Corporation for 32 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club there. She was also a member of the Paper Worker's Union. Mary enjoyed polka dancing, shopping and fishing with her husband. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Edward son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Robin, Appleton grandchildren, Katie and Eric brother, Clifford (Janice) Gosz, Appleton sister, Bernice Grogan, Stockbridge brothers and sisters-in-law, Petra Van De Ven, Elizabeth (Len) Bekx, both of Neenah Harry (Marge) Van Grinsven, Harriet Coppens, both of Mackville Grace Van Grinsven and Max (Shirley) Van Grinsven, both of Appleton. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. A memorial will be established for Alzheimer's Research. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery on Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 at 10 a.m. The family would like to thank the Bonduel Fire Department and Volunteers, Wisconsin Canine Search and Recovery, Great Lakes Search and Rescue Canine (K-9), Headwaters Search and Rescue of Vilas County, Eagle 3 of St. Vincent Hospital, Civil Air Patrol, National Center of Missing Adults, Shawano Evening Leader, Town of Lessor Volunteer Fire Department, Shawano County Sheriff's Department, especially Gordon Kowaleski and Emergency Management, especially, Steven Golubic and the numerous friends, family and volunteers who helped in Mary's search.
