Lelia E. Ekleberry, 81, Zachow, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000. She was born June 17, 1918, in Richland County to the late Mike and Fanny (Ellsworth) Walsh. Lelia was a telephone operator before her marriage to Pat Ekleberry May 20, 1940, in Baraboo. The couple moved to Zachow in 1953. Lelia loved to read. Survivors include her husband, Pat a daughter, Mary Beth (Joe) Czarneski, Green Bay a son, Bernard Ekleberry, Denver five grandchildren two great-grandchildren four step-grandchildren 11 step-great-grandchildren one step-great-great-grandchild and one sister, Isabelle Beranek, Richland Center. She was preceded in death by one sister. Funeral service will be Friday, May 5, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, with Fr. Dean Dombrowski officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Friends may call at Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to the time of service.
