He was born May 20, 1914, in Aniwa, son of the late Peter and Etta (Rupp) Hoersch. On Nov. 27, 1946, he married Margaret Straka in Aniwa. She survives. Prior to his retirement, Clarence had been employed at the former Connor Forest Industries, Wausau. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and enjoyed playing cards and tinkering with repair projects. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, Wausau; a daughter, Catherine Hoersch, Wausau; a son, Michael (Carla) Hoersch, Weston; two grandchildren, Heather Hoersch, Atlanta, Ga., and Jonathan Hoersch, Madison. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene, and two brothers, Lawrence and Norman. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 20, 2005, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau. The Rev. Stephen Gross will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Two North at Mount View Care Center for the wonderful, compassionate care given to Clarence during his time there with special thanks to Jeannie and Lori.
