TWOHOUSE TOUSEY, 84; CHIEF OF MOHICAN INDIAN TRIBE G.A. Twohouse Tousey, a chief of the Mohican Indian tribe for more than 40 years, died Thursday. He was 84. Mr. Tousey, whose tribal name was Chief Chum, died at his daughter's house in Eaton, Ind. He lived in Muncie with his wife, Maxine Tousey. He was born at Stockbridge-Munsee Indian Reservation in Gresham, Wis., and became a chief of the Mohican tribe in 1947. In his earlier years, Mr. Tousey rode wild horses, buffaloes and bulls as a rodeo and circus performer. He worked with such famous performers as Tex Ritter, Johnnie Olson and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. He moved to Muncie in 1945 after serving with the Army in World War II. Mr. Tousey worked for Ball Corp., a producer of beer and soft drink cans, for more than 18 years.
