She was born June 3, 1932, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Louis and Dorothy Kienbaum. They moved to Wisconsin in December of 1934. Myrtle lived on a farm where her parents were sharecroppers. She worked as a waitress and later for Wisconsin Electric in Milwaukee for many years, retiring in 1995, when she moved to Duluth and attended Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Duluth. In Milwaukee, she was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis William Kienbaum in 1995; and a brother, Daniel in 1997. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Kienbaum of Duluth; sons George (Kathy) Hotchkiss of West Jordan, Utah, and Joseph Spear of Milwaukee; a daughter, Joyce Spear of Milwaukee; brothers Henry J. (Elvera) Kienbaum of Wapata, Wash., Louis E. (Donna) Kienbaum of Duluth and George A. Kienbaum of St. Peter, Minn.; a grandson, Troy Hotchkiss; a great-grandson, Dylon; uncles Ben (Betty) Schultz of Aniwa, Wis., Paul (Lucy) Schulz of Schofield, Wis., and Walter Schultz of Merrill, Wis.; an aunt, Meida Defferding of Milwaukee; cousins; nieces; and nephews. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in Bell Brothers Chapel and continues noon until the 1 p.m. service Wednesday in Lutheran Church of Christ the King. Burial in Oneota Cemetery.
