Weber, 95, formerly of 500 Grand Ave., Wausau, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born May 1, 1910, in the town of Rolling, Langlade County, daughter of the late Anton and Rosa (Fuchs) Weber. On March 4, 1935, she married John Weber at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. He preceded her in death July 4, 1975. Mary and her husband farmed in the town of Plover for more than 40 years. In 1980, she moved to Wausau and lived independently for 25 years. Mary was a perpetual member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. After moving to Wausau, she joined St. Mary Catholic Church and later joined the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, where she was a member of the Ministry of Praise and the Serra Club. A devout Catholic, Mary's deep faith guided her throughout her life. She loved gardening, growing flowers, crocheting afghans, German cooking, volunteering, reading and working crossword puzzles. Cheering on the Packers and making new friends were also important to her. Survivors include her children, Agnes (Roger) Stieber, Florida and Tomahawk, Francis W. (special friend, Nancy Blaschka) Weber, Mosinee, Margaret (Tom) Kerkes, Wausau, and Pauline (Jeffrey) Wergin, South Beloit, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John A. Weber; a granddaughter, Diane (Weber) Anderson; a great-grandson, Elliot Stieber; three sisters, Anna Andraschko, Rose Meidl and Pauline Heinrich; and one brother, Anthony Weber. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. The Rev. Stephen Gross will preside. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Aniwa. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Resurrection Parish, 621 N. Second St., Wausau WI 54403.
