She died Feb. 5, 1996, at age 99. Mrs. Neumeister was born Jan. 8, 1897, in Pella, Wis. She graduated from Portland's Jefferson High School and also from the Girls Polytechnic High School. She was a retired seamstress and dress designer. Her husband, Alfred H., died in 1980. Survivors include her son, Robert A. of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.
