He was born June 2, 1913 in Alberta Canada son of the late Tom and Emma (Segebrecht) Wilkinson. On October 25, 1941 he was united in marriage to Esther Olson in Leeman. John farmed and was employed at Nicholas Paper Mill until his retirement. He had a great sense of humor expecially his practical jokes. He enjoyed life, playing cards, fishing, hunting, gardening, reading and loved his family and the special times he spent with his granchildren. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Esther his children: Eugene (Rosie), Black Creek Gary (Diane) Shiocton Lois (Jack) Bernard, Olathe, Kansas Russell (Cheryl) Shiocton Vaughn (Sherry), Seymour Beth (Roger) Ort, Nichols Tim (Rae) Hatley Bob (Laurie) Shiocton Kris (Steve) Jensen Nichols and Mark (Deanna) Black Creek 28 grandchildren, a great grandchild, a brother Tom (Pearl), Clintonville two sisters: Marjorie Wilber and Katherine Ste! djee, Bonduel sisters- in-law and brothers-in-law: Nancy Wilkinson, Menasha George Olson, Shiocton Web Conradt, Michigan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Francis and five sisters: Mildred, Margaret, Marion, Mabel and Nora. Friends may call at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino, Saturday from 10 a.m. until services at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lisa Stafferd officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
