Ervin E. Kraning, 73, Green Bay, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999. He was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Pulaski to the late Herman and Emma (Krause) Kraning. On May 22, 1954, he married Elizabeth Lucas in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on June 16, 1997. Ervin worked at Badger Sheet Metal and later at Anamax Corporation until his retirement. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Kraning was a member of the American Legion Post #337, AmVets Post #160 and served as its Commander. He enjoyed devoting his time to Pulaski Polka Days. Survivors include one stepson and his wife, Danny and Debbie Wanner, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Leroy and Millie Kraning, Seymour; Lester and Bonnie Kraning, Elmer and Betty Kraning, all of Pulaski; Margaret and Jim Born, Bonduel; Martha Kamba, New London; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a Veterans Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fort Howard Memorial Park. Entombment will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Kraning family would like to express their appreciation to Ervin's neighbors, Mary and John Kosinski.
