Otto BELLEVUE - Harvey J. Otto, 87, of Bellevue, formerly of Lincoln and Wausau, Wis., died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria. He was born Sept. 10, 1912, in Wausau, Wis., the son of Paul and Minnie Otto. He married Mary Louise Nugent in 1938 in Wausau, Wis. Mr. Otto was a cost estimator for Myers Industries in Lincoln, retiring in 1981. Prior to that he worked 26 years for Curtiss Co. in Wausau. He attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Bartonville. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the First Infantry Division. He received the Victory Medal, Easter Theater Ribbon with Silver Battle Star, a Bronze Service Arrowhead, two overseas ribbons, the Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart and First Bronze Oak. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0790 in Bartonville. Survivors: wife, Mary; a son, Wayne K. "Gus" (wife, Nancy) Otto of Lincoln; a daughter, Karen L. (husband, Bill) Cole of Bellevue; five granddaughters, four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elnora Beck of Aniwa, Wis., and Marion Johnson of Wausau, Wis. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, Tom Gerdts officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
