She was born on Sept. 23, 1905, in Bonduel, the daughter of Charles and Cora Ganschow. Erna graduated from Shawano High School and Wausau Business College. On June 18, 1932, she married George A. Ebert. She was a member of Monona Senior Citizen' s Club. Erna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine 'Jerrie' and Jim Hicks of McCammon, Idaho; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Stanley; a grandchild; and her sister, Ruth. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive., at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau, at 2 p.m., on Tuesday. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. The family would like to expr! ess their sincere thanks to her friend and doctor, Dr. Karen Lentfer, the Hospice staff, Home Health United and the many family, friends, neighbors and aides, who provided love and support through her many years.
