Jim was born to Duane (Todd) Morrill and Helen Graham Morrill on July 26, 1939, in Rhinelander, Wis. He graduated from Gresham High School in Gresham, Wis., in 1957. Jim served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army and was a very proud American. In 1964, Jim married Pauline Quinlan of Hazel Green, Wis., and together they shared 40 wonderful years. Jim's career in architecture and construction administration allowed his family and him to reside in many places throughout the country. He was most recently employed as a construction administrator for Christner Inc. in Springfield, Mo. Jim's interests included fishing, boating and hunting, particularly in the north Wisconsin woods, and his love of nature and the outdoors will be instilled in his children and grandchildren for years to come. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, telling stories, reading and, most of all, spending time with his family, whom he loved very much. Survivors include his wife, Pauline; their three children, Cindy O'Gorman and husband Kevin of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Brian Morrill and wife Mary of Cedar Rapids and Ayme Bergen and husband Bruce of Marion; five grandsons, who were his best fishing buddies; two granddaughters, whom he adored; and several friends and many extended family members who will miss Jim's presence in their lives very much. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tom and Bill Morrill; and a nephew, Ryan Morrill. A memorial fund has been established. Dad, we couldn't have asked for a more loving father, a more loyal and giving husband to our mother, or a more precious grandfather to our children. Thank you for showing us every day how much you loved and cared about us. Even though you won't be here with us, our children will always know their Grandpa and your gift of humor will be treasured in our hearts forever. Please leave a message or tribute to the Morrill family on the Web at www.cedarmemorial.com under "obituaries."
