On November 4, 1907 she was born in Aniwa, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Resch) Zarda. Eleanor married Thomas Kloiber on October 24, 1936 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He passed away in 1973. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and she loved cooking, baking and sewing and making quilts. She also made Rosaries for the Missions. Her memory will be cherished by her two daughters; Marilyn (Thomas) Schettl of Pine River, WI, and Karen (Mike) McKinney of Mansfield, TX; her two sons: Thomas (Marlene) Kloiber of Kimberly and Gerald Kloiber of Oshkosh; her eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her two nieces: Phyllis Rothe of Wautoma and Lorraine (George) Kuehn of Oshkosh; two sisters-in-law: Sister Marilyn Kloiber of Manitowoc and Dorothy Schani of Oshkosh and other relatives and friends. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters: Mary Newbauer, Emma Zarda; Pauline Ratzburg and two infant sisters and two brothers: Charles and Joseph Zarda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Reynebeau as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2006 at Poklasny Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. A Memorial has been established in Eleanor's name.
