She was a resident of Park View since her stroke in December of 1992. She was born in Aniwa, Wi on December 31, 1908, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Resch Zarda, and came to Oshkosh, as a young girl. Emma was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Emma was an accomplished seamstress, and was employed at OshKosh B'Gosh and Neubergers, and made her own clothes and items for the church fairs. She crocheted doilies always of many colors inspired, she said by the rainbow which God created. For many years she volunteered at Father Carr's Thanksgiving and Easter dinners. She is survived by one sister Eleanor Kloiber, of Oshkosh, and many nieces and nephews. Emma was preceded in death by two brothers Joseph and Charles, and by two sisters Mary Neubauer and Pauline Ratzburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 27, 1999, at 6:00 P.M. in Sacred Heart C! atholic Church with the Rev. Martin Carr officiating. Family and friends may call on Monday at the church from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of services. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The family wishes to express appreciation for the loving care given to Emma at Park View, and especially to Nan Minaker. After a difficult life with schizophrenia they found many ways to bring joy into her life.
