SCHOENIKE FORT WAYNE - 1907-1998 Ella M. Schoenike, 91, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Antwerp, Ohio, and Fremont, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at The Towne House. The Aniwa, Wis., native retired in 1972 from Dana Weatherhead in Antwerp, Ohio, as assembler. She had worked as an elementary teacher in Wisconsin and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, Louis A.; daughters Nancy A. Mees of Wilmington, N.C., and Jan M. Thiele of Fort Wayne; a son, Robert L. of Warrenton, Va.; a brother, Ervin Umland of Chenoa; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Road, with calling one hour before services. Calling is also from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elzey & Haggard Funeral Home, Ossian. Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery. Memorials are to St. Mark's Endowment Fund.
