She was born in Bonduel on March 17, 1914. On July 20, 1940, Eleanore married Carl W. Meyer. They were married for nearly 62 years. She loved cooking, baking, bird watching, vegetable and flower gardening, crocheting, sewing and crafts. Eleanore was a member of the Fitchburg Senior Citizens "Golden Agers" group. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially liked watching older game shows on TV. Eleanore is survived by two children, Stephen (Susan) Meyer of Woodstock, Ga. and Deborah Woodard of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gertrude "Trudy" Anderson of Traverse City, Mich. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl, in 2002; and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2007, at CHRIST MEMORIAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2833 Raritan Road, Madison! / Fitchburg, with the Rev. Jeffrey Meyer officiating. Friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday. Private Entombment will take place in Highland Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Skaalen Sunset Home, 400 S. Morris St., Stoughton, WI 53589. The family would like to thank the staff of Skaalen for their excellent care and compassion of Eleanore over the past years. A special thank you to the Rev.
