Darrell V. Lancelle Sr., 73, of 1130 S. Norwood Ave., died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000. He was born April 2, 1926 in Green Bay, to the late Benjamin and Blanche (Johnston) Lancelle. On Feb. 6, 1948 he married MaBelle Knox in Yokihama, Japan. Darrell served in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II and in the U.S. Army in Occupied Japan and Korea. Mr. Lancelle was employed by the U.S. Post Office and was postmaster in Keshena, Nichols and Lake Linden, Mich., retiring in 1986. He was a member of the V. F. W. Bellevue Post #9677. He is survived by his wife, MaBelle seven children and their spouses, Kathleen and Mike Digby, Orlando, Fla. Darrell Jr. and Janine Lancelle, Green Bay Gary and Lynn Lancelle, Phoenix, Ariz. Michael and Annette Lancelle, Racine Jeff and Jeri Lancelle, Green Bay Saima Lancelle and Greg Jacobs, Green Bay Deborah Gibbons and James Micolichek, Green Bay 15 grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Angela, Aaron, Adam, Jeremy, Melanie, Benjamin, Jay, Jacob, Joshua, Robbie, Christopher, Stephanie and Cole one great-grandchild, Elizabeth two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty and Cletus Brown, Green Bay Norma Hammon, Calif. one brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Doris Lancelle, Bonduel. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Alice Schwehr, Lucille DeFoe, Lois Lancelle and June Elaine Lancelle three brothers, Harold , Leonard and John Lancelle. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., between 4 and 8 p.m. on Friday. Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday after 10 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday with the Rev. Hamelink officiating.
