Gerald "Jerry" A. Dolata, 66, Krakow, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, after a short but courageous battle with a rare form of cancer. The son of Agnes (Wilinski) Dolata and the late Anthony (Tony) Dolata was born June 25, 1941, in Krakow. On Oct. 14, 1967, he married Jeanette (Jean) Wesolowski at St. Joseph Church in the Town of Chase. Gerald was self employed as a "sign painter" for over 25 years, and had many wonderful clients. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, picking wild flowers, making maple syrup and being outdoors. Jerry was a faith-filled man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, studying the Word of God. He was proud of his 1915 Model T Ford; he enjoyed giving rides at many weddings and parades, or just taking it for a joyride on a Sunday afternoon. Survivors include his four daughters and his grandchildren, Laurie and Jeff Verheyden, Kunesh, and their children, Randy and Beth, Marie and Federico Sotillo, Green Bay, Leslie Dolata, Green Bay, and Brenda and Todd Emmert, Manitowoc, and their children, Alexa, Elizabeth, Abigail and Zackery; his mother, Agnes Dolata, Krakow; his sisters, Dolores (Richard) Tomczak, and Sharon Dolata, all of Green Bay; his brother, Tom (Chris Jurecki) Dolata, Krakow; his mother-in-law, Lenetta Wesolowski, Allouez; brothers-in-law, Norman and Betty Wesolowski, Green Bay; Jim Wesolowski, and Clarence "Sam" and Debbie Wesolowski, Pulaski; sister-in-law, Pat (Wesolowski) Posbrig, Seymour; a special friend, Marsha LaBlanc, Pulaski; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife; his father; his father-in-law, Edward Wesolowski; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Wesolowski. Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. Closing Prayer Service at 8 p.m. Visitation continues after 10 a.m. Friday at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Friday at the church, Fr. Brendan Wroblewski, O.F.M. presiding. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at Green Bay Oncology and St. Mary's Hospital.
