Norma C. Knuth, age 76, of Hortonville, died on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Kindred Hospital in Greenfield after a lingering illness. Norma was born on July 4, 1933, a real firecracker, in Shawano, daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Nelson) Knutson, the oldest of four girls. She was united in marriage to Ronald Knuth on May 15, 1954. Together they resided on Highway S in the Town of Ellington all of their married lives. Norma worked at the Lutheran Aid, Allis Chalmers, and the New London Hospital. Her hobbies included playing piano, bunnies, baking, spoiling her grandchildren and listening to Amy and Tony play organ and piano. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. She is survived by her two sons: Ronald "Gary" (LuAnne) Knuth, Hortonville; Doug (Linda) Knuth, New London; three sisters: Patsy (Raymond) Trudell, Ruth (Alfred) Jochman, Janet (Paul) Gennigen; also three grandchildren: Amy, Tony and Heidi; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, her husband Ronald preceded her in death in 2006. The Christian Funeral for Norma will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Brian Hennig officiating. Burial will be in Mosquito Hill Cemetery in the Town of Liberty. Friends may call at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville on Monday, July 27, 2009, from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
