A reception to follow at 2600 Shasta View Drive in Redding. The Rev. Liam MacCarthy of the church will officiate. Mr. Hoffman died Wednesday, March 25, 1992, at Redding Medical Center in Redding. Born Aug. 22, 1911, in Gresham, Wis., he moved to Shasta County in 1957 from Gresham. He was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 3 in Redding and a member of Happy Valley Grange. He is survived by wife Jenny; sons Marshall of Georgia, Neil of Wisconsin; daughter Vicki Donovan-Briese of Redding; brothers Phillip of Gresham; Sisters Mary Knob of Eureka Springs, Ark. and Magdalen Schultz of Illinois.
