The former Anna Marie Schorejs was born Nov. 21, 1928, in Breed to the late Joseph and Nora (Eichhorn) Schorejs. She attended Logan Elementary School in Breed and Mountain Union Free High School, graduating in 1946. From 1947 to 1953, she had been employed at Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company in Green Bay, working as a switchboard operator and service assistant. On June 9, 1952, she married John Wigman in Green Bay. Marie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Assumption B.V.M. Parish, Pulaski, where she served as a eucharistic minister and was a member and past president of the Council of Catholic Women. She loved playing cards and was very involved with the Bridge Marathon. She was also a member of the Pulaski Red Hat Society. Marie was also active in the Pulaski community. She was a Girl Scout leader and cookie chairman. She worked in several fundraising projects in the village, including the March of Dimes, Heart Fund and Cerebral Palsy. She was a member of the Partners Ass'n. of the Wisconsin Ass'n. of School District Administrators and the Wisconsin Ass'n. of Retired School District Administrators, in which she served as president in 1986. Marie had been a greeter at the national convention of the American Ass'n. of School District Administrators. In addition to her husband John, she is further survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Chuck Stangl, Beaver Dam, and their children, Elizabeth and Katelyn; one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Chris Wigman, Suamico, and their children Rachel and Ryan; one sister-in-law, Shirley Schorejs, North Fort Meyers, Fla.; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.Two brothers, John (Vivian) Schorejs and Joseph Schorejs and one sister, Frances (Mike) Ziereis, preceded her in death. Friends may call at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Closing Prayer Service at 8 p.m. Visitation continues after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M., presiding with entombment in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. i>In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Marie's name.
