Alice G. Nischke, 81, W5471 Porter Road, Town of Waukechon, Bonduel, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at the Shawano Medical Center. She was born on May 2, 1919, in Mill Center, daughter of the late Irvin and Amanda (Barlement) Wilson. On Jan. 6, 1940, she was united in marriage to Herbert Nischke, he preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1977. The Nischke's farmed in the Town of Waukechon, Shawano County for many years. Mrs. Nischke was a member of the Shawano United Methodist Church and a member of the Ruth Circle. She formerly served as a member of the Shawano Woodlawn Cemetery Assoc. She enjoyed playing cards, belonging to card clubs and attending the Bonduel Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and making afghans and had a special love for spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, John (Dixie) Nischke, Pulaski Lorraine (Gary) Wolf, Bonduel Carol (Daniel) Wilke, Shawano Bill (Lois) Nischke, Bonduel eight grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren sisters, Isabel Adlebush, Green Bay Dorothy Holewinski, Seymour Dolores (Joseph) Holewinski, Mill Center brothers, Harold (Marie) Wilson, Green Bay Raymond (Janet) Wilson, Seymour. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael and Jeffrey Wolf. Funeral services Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano, Pastor Jeffrey Virchow officiating. Interment at the Woodlawn Cemetery of Shawano.
