Adolph A. Leitzke, age 85, of Shawano, received the crown of Eternal Life on Dec. 30, 2000. He was born Dec. 21, 1915, in Bonduel to the late Emil and Hattie (Wackerfuss) Leitzke. He married Carol Reichel Jan. 13, 1955. She preceded him in death Aug. 11, 1987. Adolph was a life-long farmer. He farmed in the Town of Hartland for thirty years. In the 1950's he also co-owned Shawano County Roller Rink and he worked at Hotz's Mfg. in the early 1960's. While in good health, Adolph enjoyed bowling and rollerskating. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Bonduel, and Zion Young Adult Fellowship. Survivors include two daughters, Heidi Boettcher of New Berlin and Charwyn (John) Dunlap of Green Bay two sons, Tim Leitzke of Green Bay and Steve Leitzke of Appleton step-son, Mike (Sandy) Groth of Shawano eight grandchildren: Timothy Jr., Christy, Tara, Andrew, Adam, Elizabeth, Alissa and Landon also one sister, Dorothy Otte of Appleton. He was preceded in death by three children, Anthony, Andrew and Luen and two brothers and a sister, Larry Leitzke, Hazel Broehm an infant, Walter Leitzke. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 3, 2001 at Zion United Methodist Church, Bonduel, with Rev. Cynthia L. Kristopeit officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to the time of service.
