Humphrey Edward Tobias The Rev. Humphrey Edward Tobias, 88, OFM, entered into eternal rest Sept. 29 at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc, Wis. He was a son of the late Paul and Mary (Szudy) Tobias. Born in West Hazleton on May 18, 1916, he joined the Franciscan Friars in Pulaski, Wis. in 1940. On May 22, 1948, he was ordained a priest. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Henry, Bernard, Walter, Stanley, Joseph and Alex; and sisters, Catherine, Rose, Helen and Eleanor. He is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing took place on Oct. 4 at Assumption BVM parish in Pulaski. Interment was in the provincial cemetery.
