Clara H. Block, 92, Gillett, went to the arms of her Risen Savior on Easter Sunday, April 23, 2000, at the Gillett Nursing Home. She was born March 21, 1908, in the Town of Maple Valley, to the late Hans and Anna (Hansen) Andersen. On Nov. 10, 1928, Clara married Adolph G. Block at St. John Lutheran Church, Pulcifer. He preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1999. She was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, and the WELCA. Clara is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Joyous, Kimberly Richard and Eva, Gillett Elroy and Joan, Bonduel Roger and Beverly, Milwaukee 17 grandchildren 32 great- grandchildren one great-great-grandson one sister-in-law, Gladys Johnsen, Gillett nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Block two grandsons, Richard and Aaron Block one granddaughter, Maureen Block three sisters, Mabel and Sophia Andersen, Bertha (Bert) Phillips, and one brother, Einer Johnsen. Friends may call at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, Friday after 9:30 a.m. Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2000, at the church with the Rev. Dennis N. Nelson officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, is assisting Clara's family with arrangements.
