Gluth Lyle A. Gluth, age 63, of the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, Wis. passed away early Tuesday morning July 28, 2009 at the Cherry Meadows Hospice Center in Appleton, Wis. Lyle was born on May 13, 1946 in New London, Wis. He was the son of the late Herman and Livia (Fandrey) Gluth. Lyle graduated from Clintonville High School in 1964 and was a member of the State Clintonville Trucker Basketball Team in 1963. He was employed by Marion Body Works, Truck City Sales, Clintonville Refrigeration, and currently at Menominee Casino in Keshena. He was a faithful member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. One of Lyle's hobbies was playing slow-pitch softball as a member of the "Untouchables" in Clintonville. He was an avid outdoorsman active in most any hunting and fishing activities. Lyle was a past member of the Clintonville Curling Club and also the Big Falls Bow Hunters. Those who knew Lyle well will always remember his catch phrase "No problem." He had a great personality and will be missed by many. Survivors include his companion of 34 years, LaVerne A. Sell, Clintonville; two daughters, Debbie (Doug) Kendhammer, La Crosse, Mary (Dave) Orton, Hugo, Minn.; six grandchildren, Joshua (Jaime) Dery, White Bear Lake, Minn., Jaclyn (Chris) Buday, Mequon, Lisa Kendhammer, Milwaukee, Allyssa Orton, Hugo, Minn., Jason Orton, White Bear Lake, Minn.; Jennifer Orton, North Branch, Minn.; a great-granddaughter, Kate Dery, White Bear Lake, Minn.; a sister, Karen Gluth, Waupaca; one brother, Gary (Mary Uecker) Gluth, Coleman; a nephew, Tim (Lisa Prechel) Gluth, Pewaukee; two great-nephews, Carter and Cooper Gluth, Pewaukee. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with the Rev. Daniel Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Martin Lutheran Church or S.M.A.R.T. Center in Clintonville.
