Born Nov. 28, 1954, in New Castle, he was a son of the late Howard and Marlene Piltch Goff. He was married to the former Linda Beth Scupholm. Mr. Goff formerly lived on Elbon Street in New Castle. He had lived in Mercer for the past eight years. An optician, he had worked at Pearle Vision Center of Butler at the Clearview Mall. He was a 1972 graduate of Union High School and attended Youngstown State University. Mr. Goff loved music, played the drums and was a historical buff. He was a member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church of New Wilmington. In addition to his wife, survivors include a stepdaughter, Tracie Spain of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Jesse Willis Goff of New Castle; two stepsons, Michael Stephen Loveless of Bonduel, Wis., and Thomas Paul Loveless of Waupon, Wis.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stuart Goff. Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. William H. Stone Jr., pastor of Neshannock Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Neshannock Cemetery of New Wilmington. Memorial contributions may be made to Neshannock Presbyterian Church, 330 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington 16142.
