He was born in Pulaski, to Genevieve Zdziarski and the late Raymond Novitski on Oct. 10, 1942. He married Gloria Shappek at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael, Penn., on June 7, 1969. Dick was a printer at an early age until 1994. He owned Landsmann Printing for 14 years. He was currently an employee of H.C. Miller as a Class A Scott Operator - a position he held for the last five years. Dick was active at St. Joseph Parish in Green Bay for many years, involved in the Athletic Club and Holy Name Society. He also was a Webelos leader and a committee member of St. Joseph's Boy Scout program for 18 years. He was recognized for his devotion and untiring contributions to Troop 1010. He enjoyed quiet hours fishing on Shawano Lake and sitting on his patio admiring his freshly moved lawn and watching the birds coming to the bird feeders. He loved the Packers. Dick was a member of se! veral bands playing old time Polish music as an accomplished trumpet player, namely The Alvin Styczynski Polka Band and other bands including, The Nu-Tymes, which was his and his brother's own band. In later years he loved listening and dancing to the Polish music. Mostly, Dick loved doing things with his family - his children were his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife, Gloria three children, John, Maria (fiance, Ron Smith of Bonduel), Andrew, all of Green Bay mother, Genevieve Novitski, Pulaski brother, Bob (Maxine) Novitski, Green Bay sister, Barbara (Alan) Patz, Green Bay one nephew, Paul (godchild) nieces, Susan, Sarah, Alison, Kathryn, Jacqueline (godchild) great-niece, Alexis also godchildren, Mary Lou Zdziarski, Ronald Novitski and Tina LaPlante mother-in-law, Mary Shappek and sister-in-law, Darlene Rupert, both of Pittsburgh, Penn. brother-in-law, Richard (Wilma) Shappek, Front Royal, Va. three aunts, Nathalie Wiza, Beulah and Regina Novitski one uncle, Casey (Marge) Zdziarski. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of 9th St. and 12th Ave. until time of mass. Parish Wake Service 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Burial in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
