Bliese Dennis C. Bliese, 79, of Wausau passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Dennis, son of Walter and Marie (Kroening) Bliese, was a lifelong resident of the town of Wausau, where he farmed; owned and operated a school bus for 36 years, retiring in 1989; and owned and operated two laundromats in Wausau. He married Verda Worden, daughter of Kenneth and Elta Worden, town of Wausau, on May 10, 1952, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. He was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau; previously holding various offices of lay leadership at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Wausau. He was a charter member of the Easton-Hewitt-Wausau Lions Club and member of the Wausau Elks and Moose Lodge. He was also on the Board of Directors for Cloverbelt Credit Union. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Verda; four sons, Jim (Karen), Terry (Julie) and Randy (Angie), all of Wausau, and Neil (Dawn) of Mukwonago; two daughters, Jean (Brian) Cleveland of Neenah and Sue (Mark) Nelson of Aniwa; 19 grandchildren, Tricia (Jeff) Oonk and Ben Bliese, Michelle (Troy) Armstrong and Mandy Bliese, Ryan, Sara and Amie Bliese, Rick and Joe Helm, Mike and Kevin Postler, Darek (Lindsey) and Aaron Huckbody, Danielle, Becky and Katrina Nelson, Justin Bliese, and Brandon and Zachary Fraser; two brothers, Ray (Delores) and Ralph (Phyllis) Bliese, all of Wausau; and two sisters, Dorothy Schoepke of Fond du Lac and Janet Widule of Presque Isle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marie (Kroening) Bliese; mother- and father-in-law, Kenneth and Elta Worden; a grandson, Adam Bliese; a brother, Wilbur, and his wife, Flora; three sisters and their husbands, Ruth (Bud) Worden, Lucille (Lawrence) Brandt and Arline (Hans) Schroeder; and a brother-in-l! aw, Lester Schoepke. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at Zion Lutheran Church, 709 Sixth St., Wausau. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, and from 10 a.m. to the time of service Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established at the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, 500 Third St., Wausau WI 54403; or memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, 709 Sixth St., Wausau WI 54403, for the organ fund.
