Rebbe PETERSBURG - Philip D. Rebbe, 73, of Petersburg died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Petersburg, the son of John and Marguerite Heflin Rebbe. His wife, Imogene, preceded him in death in 1997. Two daughters, Kathy and Sarah Jo, also preceded him in death. Mr. Rebbe owned and operated Rebbe's Restaurant and Lounge for many years and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg and Knights of Columbus. He was a supporter and sponsor of Brother James Court and a volunteer for Great American People Show. Survivors: four sons, Paul, David (wife, Jayne), Charlie (wife, Lorri) and Andy Rebbe, all of Petersburg; five daughters, Karen (husband, Tommy) Northcutt of Titusville, Fla., Diane (husband, Jay) Rogers of Girard, and Janet (husband, Gary) Connor, Brenda (husband, Chas) Richardson and Nora Mander, all of Petersburg; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Rebbe of Springfield and Larry Rebbe of Ashland; five sisters, Margaret Thomas of Quincy, Charlotte Rebbe of Bonduel, Wis., Francis Ramsey of Littleton, Colo., Judy Bennett of Decatur and Connie Stuhmer of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg, the Rev. Thomas P. Holinga and the Rev. Steve Pohlman officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery in Petersburg.
