Bohren (nee Straube) age 83 of West Bend died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She was born December 31, 1924 in Gresham, WI to the late Clarence and Ora (nee DeSwarte) Straube and married Otto H. Bohren on January 12, 1946 in Milwaukee. Otto preceded her in death on December 17, 1971. Gladys lived in West Bend for over 42 years. Survivors include her 3 children: Roger (Shirley) of Gresham, WI, Donna (Robert) Brownlee of Stockbridge, WI and Bruce (Cathy) of Gurnee, IL and 7 grandchildren: Teri (Mike) Grzelak, Dawn (Todd) Uebersetzig, Tracey (Damien) Carlson, John (Rhonda) Bohren, Lukas (Crystal) Brownlee, Sarah Bohren and Kevin Bohren. Gladys is further survived by her 7 great-grandchildren: Taylor, Elizabeth, Tanner, Emma, Logan, Nathan and Austin, her sister Ruth Behrend of Milwaukee and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Otto, her parents, Clarence and Ora Straube and her beloved dog Baxter. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 29, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend with Father Richard Wendell officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
