Santner Jan. 8, 1916 -- Dec. 30, 1993 John C. Santner, 77, of Livermore died Thursday at the Livermore Veteran's Administration Nursing Home. Mr. Santner was a native of Shawano, Wis. He had lived in Tracy all his life before moving to Livermore three years ago. He was the Assistant Director of Weights & Measures for Santa Clara County for 25 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in San Jose and the Church of Christ in Santa Cruz. He served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1935-1945. He is survived by his wife Sybil Santner of Tracy; children, John Mark Santner of Tracy, Vicki Lynne Santner of Stockton; sisters, Lee Scoffield of Arnprior, Ontario, Canada, Dorothy McPherson of Minneapolis, Minn. half-sisters, Teresa Speicher of Columbus, Neb., Gisela Czappla of Omaha Neb.; and four grandchildren.
