Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in First Lutheran Church, Bemidji. Arrangements are with Cease Funeral Home, Bemidji. Memorials are preferred to the North Country Hospice, Bemidji. Guy Booth was born Fed. 15, 1907, in Wayne, Neb., the son of Charles and Bertha Booth. He grew up in Oakes, N.D., and attended UND. He worked on Works Progress Administration programs, such as the Northwestern North Dakota recreational director, stationed in Minot, Bismarck and Grand Forks. He married Ada Wigen June 7, 1937, in Hettinger, N.D. They moved in 1942 to Minneapolis, where he was recreation director for the YMCA and also worked in Shawano, Wis., and Newton, Iowa. In 1962, they moved to Bemidji, where he was the Northwest Minnesota Regional Coordinator for the Council on Aging. He retired in 1974. Survivors are his wife, son, Guy, Mount Vernon, Iowa, daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Donald) Johnson, Eden Prairie, Minn., Jane (Mrs. Bill) Wesson, Fergus Falls, Minn., nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Marjorie Glaser, Oakes.
