Zander Sr. SIBLEY - Albert W. Zander Sr., 77, Elkhart, Ind., a Sibley native and formerly of Tuscola, died at 10:49 p.m. April 25, 1993, at Elkhart General Hospital. His graveside service was Thursday at Cartwright Cemetery, rural Tuscola, the Rev. William Werner officiating. Waddington-Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Zander was born June 5, 1915, in Sibley, a son of William and Anna Sehmann Zander. He married Genevieve E. Doty Oct. 9, 1959, in Newport, Ind. She died Nov. 11, 1986. Survivors include one son, Albert W. Zander Jr., Dothan, Ala.; one daughter, Carol Allen, Mocksville, N.C.; three brothers, Orville Zander, Sibley; Ralph Zander, Fairbury; and Donald Zander, Shawano, Wis.; one sister, Darlene Perkins, Chatsworth; and five grandchildren. Mr. Zander worked as a security guard for Whitehall Laboratories in Elkhart until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of Tuscola Masonic Lodge 332, AF & AM, and Atwood American Legion Post 770.
