Miller Sharon E. Miller, age 66, of Bowler, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 in Marshfield. Born on Dec. 14, 1942 in the Town of Red Springs, she was the daughter of the late Myron "Pudge" and Lillian "Chemon" (Mohawk) Welch. On July 21, 1962 she was united in marriage to Leon M. "Chug" Miller in Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2004. Sharon worked at the Silver Spur Resort, at the Red Owl Store in Bowler, and served as a Youth Director for the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. She also worked at the Mohican Bingo Hall and as a housekeeper. Sharon was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness. She loved to have her family at her side and held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon is survived by: her daughter, Laura (Dan) Moede of Bowler; her two sons, Wally (Mary) Miller of Bowler, Willy (Mingy) Miller of Bowler; eight grandchildren, Levi, Shelby, Kasha, Cody, David, Kelsey, Marie, Brook; and 11 great-grandchildren, Trae, Aleah, Kobe, Avery, Ella, Romeo, Jaidia, Elora, Jaden, Maleeya and Aiden. Sharon is further survived by: three brothers, Kenny Welch of Bowler, Keith Welch of Bowler, Kirby (Bonnie) Welch of Bowler; two sisters, Shirley (Hank) Rudesill of Bowler, Sue (Lee) Miller of Bowler; three brothers-in-law, Allen "Tin" (Kay) Miller of Bowler, Pete Miller of Bowler, LaRoy "Mun" Miller of Bowler; five sisters-in-law, Uwanda (Darrell) Schoenfeldt of Cudahy, Annalou Helle of Minn., Carol Goss of Gresham, Charlene (Wayne) Reiter of Keshena, Marvel Miller of Bowler; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Leon "Chug" Miller; granddaughter, Serenity; her parents; three sisters, Genevieve, Opal, Kathleen; sisters-in-law, Noreen, Joyce, Barb; and brothers-in-law, Roger, Toby, Lester and Dewey. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at Lutheran Church of the Wilderness in Bowler with Melinda Shriner officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday after 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
