Tilkens Lyle J. Tilkens, 72, of Shawano, died on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at his home. He was born the son of the late Ralph and Delores (Ringer) Tilkens, March 8, 1937. Lyle worked at FMC as an assembler for 42 years. He was also a taxidermist for over 52 years. Lyle was an avid fisherman and hunter. Lyle is survived by: his wife, Sandra Lardinois; children, Cheryl and Bill Deterville, Peter and Terri Tilkens, Patrick and Cathy Tilkens, Dawn (special friend Arthur Livingston) Tilkens and Joseph Tilkens; grandchildren, Bobbie Tilken and husband Matthew Fischer, Sarah and Michael Troup, Amber and Greg Binsfield, Valerie Deterville, Eric Deterville, Hunter and Jordan Tilkens, Dustin May and Natasha and Joel Tilkens; great grandchildren, Kendall and Jenson Troup, Kaylee Binsfield and Reed Deterville; step children and grandchildren, Todd and Lynn Thelen (Justen and Cameron), Chris and Mary Thelen (Zachery, Sam and Grace), Robbie and Pam Thelen (Alexis and Kaitlyn) and Clay and Jennifer Thelen (Katelyn and Martha). He is further survived by his sister Joan Maynard; sisters in law, Rosemary Tilkens and Cindy Tilkens, sister in law; Sharon and Gary Johnson and brother in law; Francis and Mary Lardinois, as well as several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Preceding Lyle in death is: his parents, Ralph and Delores, his first wife, Judy (Stordeur) Tilkens and two brothers, Jim and Lloyd. Private family services were held. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family wishes to extend a Special Thank You to Theda Care Hospice Nurses.
