THOMPSON (September 1, 1904 - March 2, 1996) Esther M. Gipp Thompson, of King Ferry, died Saturday at home. Mrs. Thompson was born in Shawano, Wis. Surviving are two daughters, Katie E. of King Ferry and Treva Straner of Groton; two sons, Robert A. and Edward H., both of King Ferry; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; two nieces; a nephew; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Services will private. Spring burial will be in West Genoa Cemetery, King Ferry. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5480 Willowbrook Road, Auburn. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Poplar Ridge Instant Aid, Box 7, Poplar Ridge 13139 or to the SPCA, Auburn. Shurtleff Funeral Home, Genoa, has charge of arrangements.
