Jr. Norman J. Boehm, Jr., 70, Pulaski, died Thursday morning, August 7, 2009, at his home, following a long illness. He was born February 1, 1939, in Green Bay to Norman Sr. and Bernice (LaMour) Boehm. Norm served his country as a member of the Army National Guard until the time of his honorable discharge. On June 14, 1958 he married the former Patricia Baran at St. Joseph Church in Green Bay. Norm was elected the first president of the United Textile Workers of America (UTWA) Local 888 at Diana Manufacturing, and then worked for the Longshoremen Local 1014 for a short period of time. He then served the UTWA as its International Vice-President, and later as its International Secretary-Treasurer. He retired in 1995 as (UTWA) United Food and Commercial Workers International Secretary-Treasurer Emeritus. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Pat; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sandy Boehm, Pulaski; one grandson, Jason Boehm (Kim Winkler), Pulaski; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty Lou Boehm, Green Bay and Gloria (Ken) Anderson, Marinette; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jackie Boehm and Nancy (Bud) Torstenson. Friends may call at Assumption B.V.M. Church, Pulaski after 9:30 a.m. Monday. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, Fr. Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. presiding with burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Green Bay.
